Cypress sits southwest of us out along 290 and the Grand Parkway. It is a short enough run that Cypress owners regularly bring a coach to us rather than fight across town, and we have a lot of repeat customers from that side.
New builds, new driveways, new damage
Cypress has grown fast, and a lot of that growth is newer neighbourhoods with tight streets, narrow driveways and low branches that nobody planted with a forty foot coach in mind. A large share of the body work we see from Cypress is not road damage at all. It is manoeuvring damage. Corner scrapes, torn awning arms, gouged sidewalls from a mailbox or a gate post, and roof damage from a branch nobody looked up at.
None of that is embarrassing and all of it is fixable. body repair covers panel and sidewall repair, and if a branch has been across the roof it is worth taking the free roof inspection at the same time, because the visible scrape is rarely the whole story. What matters is whether the membrane or a seam has been opened up.
Sitting in the sun between trips
Plenty of Cypress rigs live on the property rather than in storage, which is better for the mechanicals and worse for everything the sun touches. Roof membrane, sealant, awning fabric, decals and window seals all degrade faster with full exposure, and Texas gives them no break from about April to October.
The failures follow a pattern. Sealant shrinks and lifts, water gets into a seam, and the first sign is a soft spot or a stain months later. Catching it at the sealant stage costs very little. Catching it at the stain stage means opening up a wall.
